AMOS – Data Storage

AMOS always contains a number of modules, each enabling specific features in the system. Beside these modules, AMOS executes also various system and user specific applications. Modules and applications need to store constants and configuration data. These constants and configuration data are organized and handled by AMOS data storage definitions and algorithms.

AMOS – ComLink Service

Started with communication needs inside the firmware, over local inter-module communications, up to the point where data is exchanged with a database in the network, a new concept was needed to handle all these scenarios seamless.

AMOS – ComLink is the answer to this need and realizes the best achievable system performance from communication point of view.

PDS-Module Commands

The firmware in the PDS module is based on the AMOS operating system, which allows the user to configure the PDS module by command strings over the a hyper terminal. Individual configurations can be stored into the module, so that after a power cycle or a reset the PDS module starts to work based on last stored configurations.

Interfacing PDS Modules

PDS modules can be connected to a PC directly over the RS232 port or via a RS232-to-USB converter to the USB port of a PC. PDS modules can also get interconnected to each other directly building a chain of detectors capable of communicating with each other without the need of any host(s) in between.

ANSARI’s Micro Operating System

AMOS is a multitasking real-time operating system with optimized communication capabilities within its kernel. It supports up to 16 different communication channels and up to 96 user and system tasks to operate simultaneously and needs a very small footprint (less than 50 kByte of system code and only 2 kByte of SRAM). The reminding Flash and RAM areas can be used by user applications.
